After a couple of cancelled games due to a lack of refs and/or numbers we finally had a game! It was a beautiful sunny day excitement was in the air as we left Leeds a little stressed at the sat nav telling us the hour and ten journey was going to take an hour and 45. After a long slog and some stand still traffic we made it to the Timperley ground. 

The game began strong winning the first draw and matching Timperley 3-3 in the first quarter. We fought hard throughout the second and third but we no match for Timperley’s cheeky quick stick shots and attacking play. In the final quarter we managed to get some more attacking time with our captain Charlotte scoring 3 goals. 

Even though we lost 23-6 our team played well so well that we had two girls voted girl of the game! Shout out to Lauren and Charlotte for the very well deserved title. Sadly this is our last league game of the season but that won’t stop us with some friendlies coming up over the next few months…
